Welcome to Denis Mac Coaching and Nutrition. Our main aim is to provide you with guidance and motivation to help you achieve the body you desire. But we don’t stop there, we look to teach you the skills involved to build upon or maintain the results achieved while working with us.




I’ve been working in the fitness industry for over 10 years helping people transform their lifestyles. Be it through training or nutrition, this is something I am very passionate about and always strive to bring out the best in everyone I work with. After graduating with a first class honors degree in Health and Leisure in 2017, I have continuously up-skilled and re-educated myself in the ever changing field of fitness & nutrition. I am a currently completing a post graduate diploma in Sports Performance Nutrition with the Institute of Performance Nutrition and I have previously completed Precision Nutrition to become a  level 1 certified coach. That has led me to building on my knowledge in different areas through personal development and always wanting to provide the best information to my clients. My goal is not only to guide clients to reaching their desired goals but also to fill them with the knowledge and tools to manage alone once their time with us expires. I will forever be motivated by seeing my clients confidence growing regardless of how small or great their physical results may be.


We offer three different coaching packages. All packages require a minimum a sign up of 12 weeks to realistically achieve sustainable results and enable you with the skill set to be able to continue your journey alone. The photo shoot prep may require a longer duration depending on the clients starting position.

It’s crazy what a few months with the right coach can do. Cant recommend Denis enough. He created a long term plan which suited me and one that I could stick to! Each week I could see the results. He made multiple changes to my training routine and lifestyle: Calculated food plan to fit my goals, introduced food prep, Perfect for sticking to my food plan especially when at work, Cardio routine (I never used to do cardio), Complete new workout plan for the gym and at home in lock down. Most of these changes are simple and obvious but I just wasn’t doing them, having Denis lay them out professionally on one document that I could see on my phone each day made things so easy. What Danny had to say…

I started working with Denis in April during my first lock down. In my initial chat with Denis we set down and laid out what my target were: the main being to build strength to improve performance for Gaa when sport was to return again.

Denis was able to alter programmes to suit the equipment that I had available to me during the lock down and we altered this as the gyms opened up. The personalized plans that Denis produced perfectly suited my needs at the stage that ii was at and he has been altering these regularly since we started together.

Once football resumed I felt that I was in a great position physically to be able to hit the ground running knowing I had a good base of work done. Denis would check in with me before/ after sessions and he would alter pre or post session food where needed depending on the training volume.

After suffering a broken metacarpal in the club championship, Denis again reevaluated my plans and altered them to suit what I was doing. This time was tough mentally also and Denis was always at the end of a voice message for a chat in this regard. With hard work I was able to see the lads get promoted in the league and got some championship again which is also great.

With Denis’s professionalism and work ethic i’m certainly delighted to be able to draw on his knowledge. I’m looking forward to working with Denis in the off season so that 2021 can be a bigger and better year.

I started with Denis back in January and our primary goal was to cut body fat and get in the best shape possible for the football year ahead. I did a 10 week nutrition and training program and the results were insane. Then Covid 19 hit.

So in july i got back onto Denis as football was starting back up again. It was going to be all championship football, I was going to be playing between intermediate with my club Glenflesk and county with my district East Kerry.

The plan was simple to have my body in the best possible shape for playing champo and having my nutrition on point for week days building up to the games . Nutrition was something I was always sloppy with in the past and thanks to Denis that problem was no more for me.

The thing with working with Denis is knowing and having trust in someone that backs you. His knowledge  when it comes to nutrition and training is unbelievable and any question I ever had for him he was always able to make it sound so simple by  giving me an answer that was easy to understand. It was also massive for me to have someone to answer to if i lost focus and went off track or someone to talk to if things weren’t going great. Denis always gave me the little push I needed to motivate me and being mediocre is out of the question with him.

It was also very reassuring and a confidence booster on the pitch knowing i had ticked all the box’s off the pitch which meant when it came to game day I didnt have anything to worry about only to go out and enjoy it.
